Wine and Attractions
Vineyards and a great variety of comfortable little restaurants around Klöch, Straden and Tieschen, make the area into a real paradise for wine-lovers and hikers. The castle Halbenrain invites you to visit and in the alluvial areas of the Mur in the neighbourhood of Radkersburg, you will find lovely places to tank up on fresh air and to relax. As the only town in Europe, Bad Radkersburg received the European Gold Medal for Memorial Care in 1978:
- Town Square with Town Hall Tower: Late Gothic-Late Baroque town symbol
- Column of the Virgin: memorial of the pest plague in 1680
- Herberstorff Renaissance Palace: sumptuous inner courtyard arcade of Italian building art and medieval tower connected to the town fortifications
- Gothic Town Parish Church an Museum in the Old Armoury: a walk through the history of the town and region
- Frauenplatz, Frauentor, Frauenkirche: witnesses of the Late Baroque
- Capuchin Monastery Church: from the 14th century; remains of the Augustine monastery
